A press brake is used to bend and form sheet metal into precise angles and shapes. It works by clamping a piece of sheet metal between a matching top tool (punch) and bottom tool (die), then applying force to create the desired bend. Press brakes are essential equipment in any fabrication workshop that produces enclosures, brackets, frames, ducting, structural components and general sheet metal work.

Our current range spans from the compact Probend 30 ton x 1600mm — suitable for smaller workshops and lighter gauge material — through to the heavy-duty Probend 160 ton x 3200mm for high-capacity production bending. The 125 ton and 160 ton models feature the MTE32 3-axis NC controller with bending angle setting and 2-axis backstop positioning, enabling fast setup and accurate repetition production.

All Probend press brakes are built with premium components including Bosch Rexroth hydraulic valves, Schneider electrical systems, Siemens motors and Nok seals. These are the same brands specified in European-manufactured machines, ensuring reliable performance and long service life. Replacement parts for all components are held in stock in South Africa for fast turnaround.

Every new Probend press brake includes delivery, bolting down, levelling, commissioning and one-hour operator training at your premises — included in the purchase price. We also stock a range of press brake tooling including multi-V bottom dies, gooseneck and semi- gooseneck top tools, and quick-release clamping systems.
